Road Closures 2026

The McAllen Holiday Parade returns on December 6, bringing festive magic, thousands of spectators, and one of the most celebrated holiday traditions in Texas.

To ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone, the City of McAllen will implement a series of planned road closures and detours throughout the parade area. These closures will take effect in phases leading up to step-off and will impact major streets, surrounding neighborhoods, and access points near the stadium and parade route. Below you’ll find a clear breakdown of each closure phase, including maps and timeframes, to help you plan your travel, parking, and arrival with confidence.
